The Company
Jagneswar & Co. has emerged in 1982 as a large company and founded by Raghunath Basak. The company name is dedicated to his Father Jagneswar Basak, who is the most renowned personnel in Basak family of Chandi. His family was involved with creating and marketing of Tangail sharee since long. After launching, Jagneswar & Co. developed their own style which introduced a new era to Tangail Sharee with its own style and classical design. Beside Tangail Sharee, J&C also invokes with Jamdani, Balushuri and Silk.

In the evolution of Tangail Sharee, J&C paid a huge contribution. Consisting the traditional design, J&C's experiment and fusion with Tangail Sharee appears with Block, Aplic, Brush Paint, Karchupi and other new age styles.

Tecnical Support
J&C has 800 laborer and 400 weaving machines to products its own sharees. It also purchase sharees from other handloom owners and sellers. Jagneswar & Co. has several qualified designer who are assign to create unique design according to modern and classical aspects. Later, J&C knit the sharee using those design by its own Jakard Machines. J&C maintain the quality of cotton, color, time and design to produce sharee. Sometimes, hand made & paint sharees need more than two weeks to be completed. Jagneswar & Co. has a large setup for make prepare and coloring the cotton. As a result, it became one of the largest Tangail Sharee supplier in the country along with cloth for Shirt, Three-Piece, Panjabi for renowned fashion house and vendors.
